Tatev Monastery is an ancient monument built in the ninth century. We can say that this complex is considered the pearl of Armenian architecture. The harmony of the monastery and the surrounding nature gives everyone an opportunity  to appear in those ancient times and feel the ancient spirit.

The complex is located in the center of Syunik and for many years was the spiritual center of Syunik. For some time the Tatev Monastery was not only the religious, but also the political center of the Syunik Principality.
