Excursion to Amberd. Amberd a historical complex, which is located on the slope of Aragats at an altitude of 2300 meters above sea level. The complex consists of a castle of the 7th century and a church of the 11th century. Then we climb up the Mount Aragats, the highest mountain in Armenia (4090m above sea level). At the top of Aragats there is a small and very cold lake - Lake Kari. It is located at an altitude of 3200 m, offering a wonderful panorama of the Ararat Valley. The next stop is at the Alley of Letters is a monument created in 2005, for the 1600th anniversary of the Armenian alphabet. You will also have the opportunity to see the Saghmosavank Monastery and participate in a master class on the preparation of Armenian sweets. Then return to Yerevan.
